Raipur, April 06, 2012: Chhattisgarh government has surpassed the tax revenue target for the last fiscal and collected a total of Rs 6710 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2012, officials said today.
The tax collection of Rs 6710 crore for the last fiscal was a hike of 22 per cent from the tax collection of the previous year, official sources said here.
The Commercial Tax Department was given a target of Rs 6700 crore and the department had achieved a success of 100.14 per cent, they said.
The tax amount included VAT (value added tax), Central taxes and Entry tax, the sources added.
