Second phase of Election on April 17

     Raipur, March 05, 2014: Maoist-hit Rajnandgaon, Kanker and Mahasamund Lok Sabha seats will go to poll on April 17, 2014, the Election Commission of India said today.

     The notification for the three seats will be issued on March 19 and with that the nomination process would be started for the three constituencies.

      Last date of filing nominations is March 26 and the scrutiny is on March 27, 2014.

     Last date of withdrawal of candidature is March 29, 2014 and election will be held in Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund and Kanker seats on April 17, 2014.

     However, counting of votes will take place on May 16, 2014, the Election Commission said.
