Bastar LS Election on April 10

     Raipur, March 05, 2014: Maoist-hit Bastar Lok Sabha seat will go to poll on April 10, 2014, the Election Commission of India said today.

     The notification for the Bastar seat will be issued on March 15 and with that the nomination process would be started for the tribal reserved seat.

      Last date of filing nominations is March 22 and the papers will be scrutinized on March 24, 2014.

     Last date of withdrawal of candidature is March 26, 2014 and election will be held in Bastar seat on April 10, 2014.

     Counting of votes will take place on May 16, 2014, the Election Commission said.
