Raipur, April 20, 2014: Senior Journalist of Chhattisgarh Devendra Kar was killed today in a road accident along with his wife and elder sister.
While coming from Bhubaneswar to Raipur, the Bolero vehicle in which Kar family was travelling in, collided in a road side tree near Jujomura of Sambalpur district, about 320 kilometre from here.
The impact of the accident was so strong that Devendra Kar, his wife Deepika and his elder sister Vinodini were died on the spot, Jujomura police said over phone.
Both the sons of Devendra Kar are seriously injured along with his niece and all have been shifted to Burla Medical College Hospital.
Police said the accident took place wee hours today.
Devendra Kar was the Editor of Hindi daily Aaj Ki Jandhara and a very popular personality in Chhattisgarh media circle.
