     Raipur, April 24, 2009: Sikh community in Chhattisgarh today opposed the alleged attempt of conversion on some of the members of their community in Durg district.

     A delegation of Sikh community, led by President of the Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Station Road, Raipur, Dillip Singh Hora, met the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and handed over a memorandum opposing attempt to convert the members of the community.

      Some people, dressed like Sikh had reportedly came from Delhi and attempted to convert some members of the community in Dalli Rajhara area of Durg District, the delegation told the Chief Minister, sources said.

     The Sikh community members also demanded action against those outsider people.

     Taking the matter seriously, the Chief Minister had directed the officials to look into the allegation and take stern action against the people, who are involved in conversion through lure or fear.
