     Jashpurnagar, December 15, 2011: All the gram Panchayats in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh would conduct special Gram Sabhas or village meetings to collect data about the people migrated to other places, including minor girls, officials said today.

     A resolution would be passed in every Gram Panchayat, saying they would not allow any minor boys and girls to be sent outside their village in search of job and if any such things happen, they would inform the gram panchayat concern, officials said.

     As per the direction of the District Collector Ankit Anand such special village meetings would be organized from December 27, next, they said.

     The official direction also demands that the guardian would have to deposit their written consent if any minor would migrate and in case of lack of consent an FIR would be lodged in the concern police station, they added.

     In case of a major, one has to deposit his or her own consent in the concern gram panchayats.

     Secretary of every gram panchayats would have to maintain a migration register and in two copies the figure of migrated people would be sent to Chief Executive Officers of concern Janpad Panchayat, who in turn compile and deposit the details of the migration with the Zilla Panchayat CEO, the order said.

    The District Collector has asked all the gram panchayats to start village meetings from December 27 and by January 10, 2012 the compiled data of the Blocks be deposited to the CEO Janpad Panchayat in a proper format.

     All the Janpad Panchayats have also been asked to compile those data and in a format and send that to the Zilla Panchayat CEO Jashpur by January 15, 2012, the officials said.
