Raipur, May 01, 2026: In a significant step toward realising the concept of good governance at the grassroots level in Chhattisgarh, the statewide launch of ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival) 2026 commenced today.

Led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, this campaign—scheduled to run from May 1st to June 10th—is a pivotal initiative aimed at bridging the gap between the administration and the common people, thereby ensuring transparent, prompt, and responsive governance.

On the first day of the campaign, public grievance redressal camps were organized across various districts of the state, where ministers, elected representatives, and administrative officials were seen personally present, listening to the concerns of ordinary citizens.

This initiative truly serves as an effective vehicle for fulfilling the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to extending the benefits of government schemes and programmes to the last person in the state.

A massive crowd thronged the camp organised in the village of Risda in the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district. Out of the 573 applications received there, approximately 47 per cent were resolved on the spot. Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma directed officials to ensure that every application is resolved within a stipulated timeframe and that feedback regarding their satisfaction level is also obtained from the applicants.

In the camp held at Dhanras village, under the Katghora block of Korba district, 332 applications were received, 103 of which were resolved immediately. Minister for Commerce, Industry and Labour Lakhanlal Dewangan, stated that this campaign is emerging as a powerful medium for delivering government schemes to the last person in society.

Continuing this series of events, at a camp organised in Kathiya village—located in the Abhanpur block of Raipur district—several beneficiaries received benefits under various government schemes in the presence of Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb. Women were provided with MGNREGA job cards, while Yogesh Yadav, a beneficiary with disabilities, was provided with a motorized tricycle.

The joy visible on the faces of the beneficiaries at the camp was truly a sight to behold. Stalls were set up by various departments at the camps, serving as “one-stop solution centers” where members of the general public were provided with on-the-spot access to the benefits of various schemes—including Ayushman Cards, Ration Cards, KCC loans, the Ujjwala Scheme, agricultural equipment, and fisheries supplies.

The availability of facilities such as digital X-rays, provided by the Health Department, offered immediate relief to the villagers.

Through the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), not only are grievances being redressed, but effective efforts are also being undertaken to raise public awareness regarding government schemes and to empower citizens on the path toward self-reliance.

Chief Minister Sai is personally and continuously monitoring this campaign and will also review its ground-level implementation through surprise inspections.
