Jagdalpur, August 11, 2009: A joint police party today killed at least four naxalites and captured half a dozen rebels and recovered arms and explosive materials in hyper sensitive Bhairamgarh area of Dantewada district, police officials said.
Through the Operation Green-Hunt, the Special Task Force, the District Force and the CRPF today raided a Maoists camp in Kutulaka area, located deep in the hills, and killed one naxalite and recovered weapon, landmines, grenades and other explosive materials, police sources told CgTopNews.Com.
In another gun battle near Yitepal village of Masi Dongri, the forces killed three naxalites and recovered two weapons.
From both the incident sites at least half a dozen naxalites have also been captured alive, they said.
The Operation Green-Hunt was launched in the Bhairamgarh Forest area comprising of the police station areas of Gangalur, Bhairamgarh, Mirtoor and Bhansi, spread over Bijapur and Dantewada districts.
