Raipur, November 29, 2011: In a severe road mishap sons of two senior state government officials, including Additional Director Public Relations Sukhdev Singh Korety, died late in the night yesterday.
When Om Prakash Korety, Tarun Kanwar and another youth were travelling in an Indica Car, their vehicle met with an accident, in which Korety and Kanwar died on the spot, Additional District Superintendent of Police Lal Umed Singh told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here today.
On hearing the information of an accident, police had rushed to the spot and immediately shifted the youths to Raipur Medical College Hospital, where one unidentified youth was admitted in a serious condition where as both Korety and Kanwar have been declared dead, police said.
Tarun Kanwar has been identified as the son of Additional Secretary of Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Ramphal Kankar.
In a tearful atmosphere the last rite of Om Prakash Korety was performed here by his younger brother.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has expressed deep condolences over the sudden demise of Korety and Kanwar and had even spoken to senior PR official Korety.
