SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies to Open Campus in Chhattisgarh

     Raipur, January 21, 2026: The prestigious Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies of the SVKM Mumbai will establish a campus in Nava Raipur city of Chhattisgarh.

     In a cabinet meeting chaired by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, a decision was taken to allocate 40 acres of land in Sector-18 of Nava Raipur to Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal, Mumbai for the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies to establish a campus on this land.

     This decision is considered a significant step by the Chhattisgarh government towards developing Nava Raipur Atal Nagar into a national-level educational hub.

     Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal is a renowned educational institution that has been working in the field of education since 1934.

     Currently, the institution operates approximately 30 educational institutions, providing education to more than one lakh students from pre-primary to doctoral levels.

     The institution secured the 52nd rank in the 2025 NIRF University Rankings, which is a testament to its academic quality and credibility.

     The Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority has identified approximately 40 acres of land in the Kotrabatha and Kitni areas. This land will be allocated on a 90-year lease. According to the prescribed premium rate, the institution will have to pay a land premium of approximately Rs. 40.06 crore.

     Officials said that the establishment of this institution will bring about a qualitative change in the field of higher education in Chhattisgarh. It will promote management, innovation, entrepreneurship, and research-based education.

     Young people from the state will no longer have to go to other states for high-quality management education. Local employment opportunities will be created, and direct and indirect employment will increase in academic, administrative, and support services, officials said.

     Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government’s goal is to provide the best education, skills, and opportunities to the youth of the state right here.

     The establishment of a prestigious institution like Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal in Nava Raipur will strengthen the state’s educational identity at the national level and prepare the youth to meet global competition, he said.

     This institution will not only become a center of education but will also play a significant role in developing Nava Raipur Atal Nagar as a knowledge city. This will promote coordination in vocational education, accelerate the startup culture, and provide Chhattisgarh with the opportunity to move towards a knowledge-based economy. Overall, the establishment of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies will pave the way for a bright future for the youth of Chhattisgarh and prove to be a milestone in the socio-economic development of the state.
