Raipur, January 17, 2026: Chhattisgarh Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agarwal today conducted a thorough review of the preparations for the Rajim Kumbh (Kalp) Mela-2026, which will be held at the Triveni Sangam from February 1 to 15.
Minister Agarwal directed that this grand religious event, to be held at the Triveni Sangam in Gariaband district from February 1 to 15, should be conducted with complete dignity, divinity, and grandeur.
Minister Agarwal instructed the concerned officials to pay special attention to drinking water, toilets, health services, security, transportation, parking, electricity, and lighting. He ordered the timely repair of the approach roads to the fairgrounds, cleanliness, and the preparation of temporary toilets and medical camps.

The Minister directed the officials to prepare a detailed plan for crowd management, traffic control, and security. He emphasized the effective deployment of CCTV cameras, control rooms, and security personnel at the fairgrounds. He instructed the Health Department to provide ambulances, mobile medical units, and first-aid centers.
He instructed all officials to complete all arrangements on time and in a transparent manner. The Minister emphasized that millions of devotees should not face any inconvenience. In the meeting, all facilities such as security, sanitation, water management, roads, parking, buses, rest houses for saints, shelters for Kanwariyas (pilgrims), medical centers, food arrangements, community kitchens, drinking water, cultural programmes, devotional music, folk dances, Akhara processions, and the Meena Bazaar were reviewed in detail.

“We will conduct the Rajim Kumbh Kalp Mela-2026 with dignity, divinity, and grandeur. All departments should complete their work within the stipulated time. Our goal is to ensure that devotees receive every facility. This fair will take Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage to new heights,” the Tourism and Culture Minister said.
The meeting was attended by Raipur Divisional Commissioner Mahadev Kawre, Gariyaband Collector BS Uikey, Deputy Director of Archaeology and Culture Department Pratap Chandra Parakh, CHMO Gariyaband, SDM Gariyaband, and other concerned officials.
