Raipur, July 06, 2023: Senior Minister T S Singhdeo was today officially appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, almost a week after he was named the Deputy CM by the Congress high command.
The notification for appointment of Singhdeo was issued today by the state government, official sources said.
On June 28 last the Congress high command had named him as the Deputy Chief Minister.
“Congress President has approved the proposal for the appointment of Shri T S Singh Deo as the Deputy Chief Minister in Chhattisgarh Government,” AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal through a release said on June 28 last.
However, the official order today said, on suggestion of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan has appointed Singhdeo as the Deputy Chief Minister.
The appointment order has also been published in the state gazetteer.
CM Baghel and Health Minister Singhdeo have been locked in a political war over the so called power sharing formula as the senior Minister had openly expressed his desire to become the Chief Minister.
