     Kanker, May 16, 2014: Former Education and Forest Minister of Chhattisgarh Vikram Usendi became the new Member of Parliament from Kanker Lok Sabha seat.

     Vikram Usendi of BJP won the election from Kanker ST seat by a margin of 35,158 votes.

     Usendi polled 465215 votes where as his nearest rival of Congress Phulo Devi Netam got 430057 votes of the total 1016943 polled votes

     Kanker Lok Sabha seat had 10 candidates.
