Sukma, Dantewada, January 16, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today formally inaugurated hyper sensitive Sukma as a district, where women population has outsmart the male.
The new district would have only three tehsils: Sukma, Konta and Chhindgarh and Jagargunda as Sub-Tehsil.
It has a population of 249841, out of which 127393 are women where as 122447 are male and others one, officials said.
The state government wanted to develop far off and backward places by taking the administration to their doorstep, because of which nine new districts, including Sukma, were created, inaugurating the district, Singh told a function here.
State Government was committed to bring peace and development to the naxal violence hit Sukma district, the Chief Minister said.
