     Dantewada, May 17, 2010: Maoists today land mined a fully loaded passenger bus in Dantewada district killing about 20 of its passengers, including some policemen.

     The Maoists have exploded a passenger bus near Chingabaram under Gadiras Police station, about 140 km from the district headquarters, Dantewada police told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.

     “It is immediately not known how many passengers have been confirmed dead but the casualty figure could be about 20,” police sources said.

     Among the killed were also policemen, they said.

     Meanwhile, Bastar Range Inspector General of Police T J Longkumer said about six persons have survived the blast.

      Two Special Police Officers and four civilians are injured and are in a condition of shock due to the impact of the blast, Longkumer said adding they are still waiting for the casualty figure.
