Raipur, August 05, 2015: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today refused to take action against his School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap after his wife Shanti caught in a examination scandal.
It was not Kedar Kashyap, who was appearing in the examination so there was no need to take any action against him, said the Chief Minister.
However, the Vice Chancellor of Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Open University Bansh Gopal Sharma has already ordered a probe into the matter, said the Chief Minister.
Stern action would be taken against the people involved in the incident, said Raman Singh.
At the Lohandiguda Government Higher Secondary School of Bastar District, in the final MA English examination yesterday instead of Shanti Kashyap someone else had appeared in the exam.
When officials reached the Centre and started probing the identity of the girl who was appearing for Shanti, the girl slipped out of the room silently without revealing her original identity.
Lohandiguda Tehsildar had also reached the School and initiated action on the matter, officials said.
However, when asked School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap has said he was not aware about the controversy over someone else had appeared in the examination in place of his wife Shanti.
