Raipur, January 17, 2026: A free bus service will be operated in the capital city of Chhattisgarh during the Raipur Literature Festival keeping in mind the convenience of citizens, literature enthusiasts, students, and youth.
Official sources said that the objective of this initiative is to ensure that no one is deprived of participating in this important literary event due to transportation difficulties. The free bus service will provide citizens with easy, safe, and convenient access to the festival venue.
This free bus service will operate continuously for three days – January 23, 24, and 25, 2026 from old city Raipur to Raipur Literature Festival venue at Purkhouti Muktangan, Nava Raipur.
The bus service will be completely free on all three days, allowing the general public to participate in the Raipur Literature Festival without any additional cost.
This arrangement will prove especially beneficial for students, senior citizens, and literature lovers.
According to the information, approximately 15 buses will be operated under this free service. These buses will operate in both directions – to and from the festival venue – so that attendees do not face any inconvenience even after the programme ends. The number of buses has been determined to ensure smooth transportation even during peak hours.
To connect the maximum areas of the city with this facility, a total of 6 major routes have been decided for bus operation. Through these routes, people from different parts of Raipur will be able to reach the festival venue. All buses will operate from the Old Raipur area to the Raipur Literature Festival venue at Purkhouti Muktangan, Nava Raipur.
All buses operating under the free bus service will have special branding of the Raipur Literature Festival. This will not only create a festive atmosphere in the city but also increase awareness among citizens about the event, and the identity and impact of the festival will be clearly visible throughout Raipur, the officials said.
Sources said that the detailed bus schedule will be released soon so that citizens can plan their travel accordingly.
