Bilaspur, June 4, 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today inspected the under-construction Nalanda Campus and Education Hub in Bilaspur and reviewed the progress of the project.

While inspecting the construction work at the Madhuban-Juna Bilaspur site, part of the Sushasan Tihar 2026 (Good Governance Festival) initiative, Chief Minister Sai directed officials to ensure the project is completed with a focus on quality and timeliness.

He stated that this project would open new avenues of opportunity for the state’s youth and establish Bilaspur as a premier center for education and competitive exam preparation.

During the inspection, Chief Minister Sai remarked that quality education plays a pivotal role in building a developed Chhattisgarh. The state government is continuously working to provide the youth with superior resources, modern infrastructure, and a competitive environment.

He emphasized that the Nalanda Campus and Education Hub is not merely a building project but a knowledge center designed to give new direction to the dreams and aspirations of the youth.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that upon completion, Bilaspur would be recognized—not just within the state but at the national level—as a major hub for education and competitive exam preparation. This Education Hub will provide better opportunities to thousands of students and serve as a strong foundation for their bright futures.

It is noteworthy that a large number of students come to Bilaspur every year to prepare for competitive examinations such as CGPSC, UPSC, NEET, JEE, SSC, Banking, Vyapam, and others. To provide these students with a safe, organized, and modern study environment, a state-of-the-art Education Hub is being developed on approximately 13 acres of government land at a cost of Rs 120 crore.

The project includes the construction of a Nalanda Digital Public Library, 300-seat hostels for both boys and girls, a modern academic block, and other facilities tailored to students’ needs. Having study areas, accommodation, and academic resources within a single campus will provide students with an excellent environment for competitive exam preparation. This will particularly benefit students arriving from various districts across the state.

Officials stated that 48 large rental halls are also being constructed within the complex. This will create a source of long-term and sustainable revenue for the Municipal Corporation. Being developed under the PPP model, the project’s operations will be financially self-sustaining, ensuring no additional financial burden on the Municipal Corporation.

Dignitaries and senior officials present on the occasion of inspection included Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, MLAs Amar Agrawal, Dharamlal Kaushik, and Sushant Shukla, Zila Panchayat President Rajesh Suryavanshi, Mayor Pooja Vidhani, Secretary to the Chief Minister P. Dayanand, Special Secretary Rajat Bansal, Divisional Commissioner Sunil Jain, Inspector General of Police Ramgopal Garg, Collector Sanjay Agrawal, and Senior Superintendent of Police Rajnesh Singh.
