ADG Sanjay Pillay to probe arson in J K Laxmi cement plant

     Raipur, April 07, 2013: Chhattisgarh Government today appointed an Additional Director General ranked police officer to probe the incident of major fire in J K Laxmi cement factory in Durg district.

     ADG Sanjay Pillay would probe the major fire incident of April 4 in the under construction cement factory, located in Malpurikhurd of Durg district, official sources said.

     Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has asked Pillay to submit his report as soon as possible, the officials said.

     The Chief Minister also said stern action would be taken against the persons, who would be found involved in the incident, they added.

     Locals have been on agitation against the plant demanding proper compensation and rehabilitation of the project affected people, including permanent employment to the people, whose lands have been acquired for the plant.
