     Durg, June 11, 2009: Looking into likely naxal threat, Chhattisgarh Government has declared the Depot of the Bharat Petroleum Corporation, located in Bhilai-3 area of Durg District as a prohibited area.

     The State Home Department has issued ordered yesterday to declare the petro-depot a prohibited area, officials said today.

     Citing security reasons the notification was issued but the order was silent about the nature of threat.      However, looking into the increasing naxal violence and especially their attack on strategic installations in the state, the petro-Depot has been barred for the commonmen, sources said
