Raipur, April 7, 2010: Even as 76 security forces were killed by the Naxalites in Dantewada district yesterday, Chhattisgarh Government today said the campaign against the Maoists would continue.
Pressing services of four helicopters Police has retrieved all the 76 bodies of the dead and looking into the condition of two of the injured, out of seven injured, they have been brought in to Raipur for treatment and the rest are admitted in the hospital at Jagdalpur, Spokesman of Chhattisgarh Police Rajinder Kumar Vij told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
Meanwhile, Chief minister Dr Raman Singh told the media that the campaign against the rebels would continue.
“The incident has unmasked the Maoists and the ultras would be given a befitting reply for killing 76 of the security personnel,” said Singh.
Replying to a question he said “the anti-naxal operation in the state would continue till peace prevails in the state.”
An operation has been launched to nab the rebels, who are responsible for the yesterday incident, said Vij adding the joint operation would also be continued.
State Military police and civil police and security forces from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Forces (BSF) and Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have jointly been deployed on anti-naxal operation in Chhattisgarh.
