Raipur, December 05, 2011: Chhattisgarh Government is working on a project to have a new portal which would function as a single window solution, officials said today.
Information Technology Department was working on a project to incorporate all welfare schemes, financial transactions and many more utility services in a single portal, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh was informed.
A state data centre was also being set up in the capital city Raipur, officials said.
The Chief Minister was also informed about the functioning of the Chhattisgarh InfoTech Biotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) in a meeting with the officials of the state Information Technology Department.
Currently CHiPS was engaged in e-tender works for about 22 departments and corporations and last year it had called for tenders worth Rs 9000 crore, whereas this year the amount was about Rs 5000 crore, they said.
