     Jagdalpur, October 10, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today flagged off the much awaited Durg-Jagdalpur-Durg Express train from here in Bastar divisional headquarters.

     The tri-weekly express train was jointly flagged off by the Chief Minister and Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Charan Das Mahant in a function at the Jagdalpur Railway Station.

     Indian Railways play a vital role in strengthening national integration in the country, Singh said addressing the gathering.

     This was for the first time Bastar region would be directly connected with the Chhattisgarh capital Raipur via train.

     Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday the 18212 Express train would leave Jagdalpur at 12.30 PM and reach Durg at 5.15 AM and from Durg it would leave as 18211 Express train on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 3.05 PM to reach Jagdalpur at 6.45 AM.
