     Dantewada, February 19, 2010: Chief Secretary P Joy Oommen today visited the naxal hit areas of Bastar region, including Bijapur and Dantewada district and discussed with the people and officials about their problems.

     Cooperative farming and united efforts by the people of the Kasauli Rehabilitation Camp, near Geedam of Dantewada district, had impressed the Chief Secretary. He said all should work unitedly for prosperity and peace.

     The top most bureaucrat of the state also visited the naxal affected Reddy village of Bijapur district and interacted with the villagers.

     In a review meeting with the officials, Oommen expressed concern over the shortage of doctors in Bijapur, Narayanpur and Dantewada and asked the officials to call specialist doctors from Raipur for specially organized medical camps in those areas.

     Bringing peace and over all development of the area are in the top of the priority of the state, the Chief Secretary told the meeting at Dantewada.

     Principal Secretary PWD M K Raut,  Secretary Tribal R P Mandal and Health Secretary Vikash Sheel had accompanied the Chief Secretary from Raipur in his tour of the most sensitive areas of the state.
