New Delhi, November 02, 2022: In a major development, Enforcement Directorate has summoned Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for questioning tomorrow in a money laundering case linked to allege illegal mining in the state.

Chief Minister Soren has been asked to appear before the ED at its regional office in the state capital Ranchi at 11 am tomorrow, reports said.

Sources claimed, ED wants to question and record the statement of the Soren under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The ED summon has been a talking point in Chhattisgarh as the Jharkhand Chief Minister has been made Chief Guest the same day in the Third National Dance Festival, being organised by the state government at Raipur.

Chief Minister Soren has been made the Chief Guest in the closing ceremony of both the Rajyotshav and the Tribal Dance Festival, official sources said at Raipur.

They admitted it not very clear whether Soren would be able to come Chhattisgarh or not looking into the ED summon for tomorrow.
