Raipur, October 10, 2022: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and prominent Samajwadi leader Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away today.
After a prolonged illness, Yadav passed away today at the age of 82.
Former Defence Minister and three-time UP chief minister was admitted to Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital, Gurugram in August and shifted to ICU on October 2.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paying tributes said, Mulayam Singh Yadav always stood against the communal politics.
His passing away was an irreparable loss to the society, Baghel said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying tributes said the former Defence Minister was a remarkable personality. He was widely admired as a humble and grounded leader who was sensitive to people’s problems.
