Raipur, April 11, 2010: Chhattisgarh Chief minister Dr Raman Singh today expressed deep faith on the gram Suraj Abhiyan and said the main reason of the campaign was to evaluate the proper implementation of the government schemes in the village and far off areas of the state.
The previous four Gram Suraj Abhiyans have revealed many things to the state government and the two rounds of current campaign from April 12 to 16 and 19 to 23 would equally help the state in achieving its goal, the Chief Minister said.
The basic purpose of the gram Suraj Abhiyan was to confirm whether government schemes were properly implemented in the state or not and also whether government machinery were functioning properly at the grass root level or not, he said.
The Chief Minister also appealed to the villagers to provide accurate information to the Gram Suraj teams, visiting their villages. The information would subsequently be used for the welfare of the same village, he added.
