Raipur, November 03, 2012: Main opposition Congress today termed the two-day Global Investor Meet, organisaed by the Chhattisgarh Government a failure and also demanded a white paper on the previous MoUs had with industrial houses.
“The Global Investor Meet is a failure. And the state government should stop misguiding its people,” PCC Spokesman Rajesh Bissa said in a statement.
He also demanded a statement from the state government “about the fate of the previous Rs 2.5 lakh crore worth of MoUs”.
When some of the industrial houses had signed MoUs and that did not materialized what was the point of having inked more MoU with them, the Congress asked.
The Opposition also demanded a white paper from the state government why even after spending crore of rupees, IT, food processing and other industries failed to come to Chhattisgarh.
During the two-day Global Investor Meet at the Naya Raipur, the state said it had received Rs 1.22 lakh crore worth of investment proposals through 268 MoUs with private and public sectors.
