Bilaspur, January 04, 2012: Trilok Chand Mahawar has taken over charges as the first District Collector of Mungeli in Chhattisgarh.
2000 Batch IAS Mahawar took over charges of the new district on January 01.
Additional Collector C S Dehre, Sub Divisional Magistrate Santosh Gupta and other senior officials were present on that occasion.
Along with Mungeli, the Raman Singh government had carved out nine new districts, taking the total number of revenue districts to 27 in the state, which was itself carved out from Madhya Pradesh on November 01, 2000.
