Raipur, May 04, 2012: Chhattisgarh government today made it clear that Alex V F Paul Menon V, who was taken hostage by the Maoists for 13 days, would continue as Sukma Collector.
“Menon would continue as the Sukma Collector,” a state government order said here today.
The state government today also issued order relieving Om Prakash Choudhary from the additional charge of Sukma as District Collector.
Choudhary would, however, continue as the Dantewada Collector.
Choudhary was given the additional charge of Sukma District Collector on April 24 after Menon was kidnapped by Maoists on April 21 from Majhipara village of his district.
After Menon was released safely by the Maoists yesterday, the General Administration Department issued the order today allowing Menon to continue as the Sukma District Collector.
