Raipur, January 29, 2009: BJP National Secretary in charge of Chhattisgarh Dharmendra Pradhan today said the party would adopt a different strategy compared to the previous Lok Sabha election to capture more seats in the state.

“We are not favour of making mere MPs. We are fighting the election to form government at the Centre,” Pradhan told CgTopNews.Com here today.

To achieve that target, a new strategy is drafted, which is different from the last Lok Sabha election and on the line of the recently held Assembly election, he said.

Although he refused to divulge details, but said the candidates for the 11 Lok Sabha seats would be decided according to their chances of victory.

To ensure victory, the party had decided to field some new faces in the coming Lok Sabha election, for which preparations are in full swing, Pradhan said.

In the 2004 Lok Sabha poll BJP had won ten out of the eleven seats but due to Operation Duryodhan, the party lost the membership of Pradeep Gandhi and in that by election from Rajnandgaon Congress was declared elected.
