Jashpurnagar, September 07, 2025: Due to shortage or absence of transformers in Jashpur, the home district of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, people and especially rural populace were facing acute low voltage problems.
To address the issue which was directly affecting the people, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai ensured the availability of transformers in the district.
To strengthen the power distribution system in the district, 102 new transformers have been installed in the last 21 months.
Electricity Superintending Engineer KV Mathew said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Sai, survey work is going on in the rural area. Wherever the need for transformer is found in the survey, transformers are being installed immediately.
The problem of low voltage has been removed
On the instructions of Chief Minister Sai, this revolutionary change in the power distribution system in the rural areas of the district during the last 21 months has made the lives of the people pleasant.
The problem of power outage at night in the elephant affected area of the district has ended.
Now children do not have to rely on flickering flame to study at night. Farmers are getting ample electricity for irrigation in the fields. This has further strengthened people’s faith in Vishnu’s good governance.
The 5th 400 kV substation in Kunkuri, approval has also been given for a dozen substations
Taking a big step towards expanding the power system in Jashpur district, the Chief Minister has approved the establishment of Chhattisgarh’s fifth substation with 400 kV capacity in Kunkuri.
For this, after completing the process of technical approval, the government has also released the budget for the construction of the station. The district administration has completed the process of land determination and allotment.
With the construction of this substation, electricity will be supplied to the residents of the district as well as to the neighboring states.
Also, recently Chief Minister Sai has also approved dozens of power substations in the district, which will provide electricity from the city to the remote forest areas.
