Raipur, September 12, 2009: Chhattisgarh Government has banned demonstration and rally near the Raj Bhawan, Chief Minister Residence and the State Secretariat.
Prohibitory Section 144 has been clamped since yesterday near the important places like Raj Bhawan, CM House and the State Secretariat by the Raipur District Collector Sanjay Garg, officials said today.
With the prohibitory order, all kind of agitation, demonstration and rally have been banned near those places with immediate effect, they clarified.
Officials said the prohibitory order had been issued to maintain law and order in and around those places besides keeping the security of the Governor, Chief Minister and other important people in mind.
