Vedanta felicitates best students, others

     Korba, January 31, 2009: Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO) management has felicitated 12 talents, who have achieved new height in the field of education, sports and art.

     Vedanta Group Chief Executive Officer and full time Director Pramod Suri and CEO and Director Gunjan Gupta honoured the people from different walks of life with the Balco Nagar Gaurav award in a function here in the Ambedkar Stadium.

     For their outstanding performance Debanjan Saha, Aswini Lakra, Shashank Dikshena and Yakub Ali were felicitated from the education sector.

     Nationally acclaimed Tabla player Lalmani Pandit Gauradhwaj Vaishnav, Football player Rahul Singh and Joheb Akhtar Khan, under 14 national swimmer Annirudh Yadav, Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam dancer Shuchi Shiwalkar, carrom player Ratna Mandal, Marathan runner Shivangi Singh and Pradeep Kumar Dhritlehere, who was honoured by Governor for contribution to scout and guide, were also felicitated with the Balco Nagar Gaurav award, a company release said today.
