Dantewada, December 10, 2009: Locals from Dantewada district today took out a huge rally against the naxalites and also the organisations highlighting their causes.
Officials put the figure of gathering as 10,000, who took out a rally highlighting the main problem of the district.
The rally had demanded action against the non-government organizations and people supporting the Maoists.
The speakers of the gathering also accused that several of the civil society organisations are indifferent to the problems of the locals and also demanded arrest of the people supporting the causes of the naxalites.
Dantewada district has been witnessing rallies from organisations supporting and opposing the causes of the Maoists in various forms and the Police Headquarters is also very active in that area to create an atmosphere among the people against the left wing extremists.
