Raipur, November 11, 2022: Veteran Administrator Manmath Kumar Raut was today retired as the Chief Information Commissioner of Chhattisgarh.
M K Raut had joined Chhattisgarh Information Commission on December 13, 2017 and today was his last working day.
The 1984 batch IAS had retired from the service on November 30, 2017 as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Chhattisgarh.
He was known as an officer who can deliver results.
After Chhattisgarh was carved out from Madhya Pradesh on November 1, 2000, Raut was given the responsibility to set up the new capital city at Raipur of the new state.
The state government has not yet named any one in place of Raut.
