     Raipur, January 05, 2016: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today expressed his strong displeasure over the unnecessary delay in according forest clearance to a road construction work in Kawardha district.

      There was unnecessary delay in forest clearance of the Asian Development Bank funded Chilfi-Rengakhar road in Kawardha district, the Chief Minister told a SPs and Collectors Conference here.

     He also asked the Forest Department officials to take prompt action in dealing with the forest clearance issues.

     In the SPs and Collectors Conference Singh discussed various issues, including trafficking, law and order and developmental works.

     The SP and Collectors Conference went over eight hours in two phases, said officials.

     Singh also directed the Police headquarters to draft standard operating procedures to check human trafficking, cyber crimes and industrial accidents in the state.

     The Chief Minister had also picked up 15 important developmental works of the state and took progress report from all the 27 district collectors about those schemes.

     On the performance of these 15 flagship schemes, the districts would be ranked, he said.

     Singh also stressed for better coordination between the district collectors and the district superintendents of police saying both are the most important pillars of the district.
