Raipur, May 12, 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) today cancelled the NEET-UG 2026 examination amid allegation of paper leak.
“The National Testing Agency, with the approval of the Government of India, has decided to cancel the NEET (UG) 2026 examination conducted on 3 May 2026,” in a statement the NTA said.
To re-conduct the examination new dates will be notified separately, it added.
The Government of India has also decided to refer the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a comprehensive inquiry into the allegations of paper leak.
The decision to cancel th exams and handing over the case to CBI for probe was taken in the interest of maintaining transparency and preserving trust in the national examination system.
The examination for students seeking admission to undergraduate courses in medical colleges will now be held afresh, but the dates have not yet been notified.
