     Raipur, April 22, 2012: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh tonight discussed with his ministers kidnapping of Sukma Collector Alex V F Paul Menon V by the Maoists and also formed a Cabinet Sub Committee on internal security.

     The Chief Minister discussed in details about the incident with the Ministers at his residence, official sources said.

     The meeting also evaluated various options to secure the release of the 2006 batch IAS.

     A Cabinet Sub Committee on internal security was also formed, headed by the Chief Minister himself.

     Home Minister Nanki Ram Kanwar, PWD Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal, SC, ST Welfare Minister Kedar Kashyap and Water Resources Minister Ram Vichar Netam have been made members of the committee, the officials said.

     The meeting also decided to convene an all party meeting on the issue of kidnap of the Collector, they added.

     When the 2006-batch IAS officer was on a tour of the Majhipara area in Sukma District yesterday, he was confronted by the Maoists guerrilla and after exchange of fire, the civil servant was kidnapped by Maoists after killing both his body guards.
