Raipur, January 28, 2012: A statue of three-time Chief Minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh Shyama Charan Shukla was unveiled today at Chhattisgarh Capital Raipur.
Speaker Lok Sabha Meira Kumar unveiled the statue in a function near the Gandhi Udyan.
Shukla had great dreams for the society, nation and the state and the statue would be a symbol of his dreams and that would inspire the people to fulfill his dreams, she said.
When Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh presided over the function, wife of Shukla, his son Amitesh, younger brother VC Shukla and a host of dignitaries were present in that occasion.
SC Shukla, popularly known as Shyama bhaiya was Chief Minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh thrice.
The statue is another master piece of Nelson.
