Raipur, February 02, 2012: Prominent Maoist leader of the country Narayan Sanyal was today shifted from the high security Raipur Central Jail amid tight security.
Sanyal has been taken to Jharkhand capital Ranchi and from there he would be taken to Girdih, sources said.
Since Sanyal occupy the position among top ten Maoist leaders of the country, his shifting was kept a secret and the sources claimed he was taken to Ranchi in a special plane to avoid any security risk.
Sanyal is believed to be the main strategist in the urban network of the CPI (Maoist), who also conceived the idea of expanding the network base from tribal to non-tribal populace.
He was arrested from Raipur and last year sentenced to life imprisonment by a special court here on charges of sedition and under the prevention of unlawful activities act.
